FOUNDATIONS
Raft foundations (sometimes referred to as raft footings or mat foundations) are formed by reinforced concrete slabs of uniform thickness (typically 150 mm to 300 mm) that cover a wide area, often the entire footprint of a building. Over the years we have gained vast experience in the site preparation, compaction, below floor drainage and shuttering associated with these works.
Our directly employed steel fixers are experienced in all forms of fabrication and steel placement whether this be cages or layered matts etc. We have a team of highly skilled carpenters on hand to undertake the shuttering installation and formwork at our projects so as to ensure a seamless workflow enabling us to progress the works without the dependencies on third parties.
Besides the construction of Rafts, we are also adept in the construction of traditional strip footings, Ground beams and pads foundations including the hanging of holding down bolts. Our team of highly skilled ground workers are all CPCS, NPORS & CSCS qualified and are experienced in all areas of groundworks and civil engineering.
